The Yarrow Ettrick and Selkirk Arts Festival in United Kingdom is celebrated every month of September.  The festival showcases the work of local artists in music, film, visual art, and poetry.

One of the highlights of the event is Yarn Storming, which displays the colorful crochet creations of 104-year old Grace Brett.  She is a member of a knitting club known as the “Souter Stormers”.

Brett told the Daily Record, “I liked seeing my work showing with everyone else and thought the town looked lovely.”

These pretty crochet street installations brighten up the towns in and around Selkirk, Ettrickbridge, and the Yarrow Valley.  It was a top secret project until the locals started to notice the crochet works starting to appear around town - attached to telephone booths, lamp poles, fences, and park benches.

She humbly says on the video, “It’s very nice of you to take any notice of it”.
