To the cheers of large crowd watching along the river banks, Shi Liliang, a Shoalin monk, ran 125 meters on 200 planks of floating plywood in Quanzhou, Fujian province, Eastern China.

With outstretched arms to balance,  Liliang’s task was not easy as he had to step quickly from one thin plywood plank to another to prevent from falling into the water.

According to the Daily Mail, Shi Liliang told reporters that discipline required both speed and patience. “You need to be fast but you should take only small steps”, he said.

Shi Liliang performed this kind of stunt to raise money for the education of less fortunate children.
