Finger Painting Artist And Her Kaleidoscope Of Colors

When New York based artist Iris Scott discovered finger painting, she stopped using brushes for her artwork.
With her unique method, she has created vibrant paintings of people, animals, flowers, dreamy urban scenes, and waterscapes. Her work is full of life, color, texture and happiness. In one single scene, she can blend more than 100 different colors. As she says on her website, “I want my paintings to be both an escape from our everyday life, and an intensification of the recognizable.”
It all started during her stay in Taiwan when she was too lazy to leave the room to wash brushes for a quick fix on her painting. She made some strokes using her finger tips and became fascinated about the impact of those strokes on her work. She knew right away her discovery would change the course of her creative career.
