Ana Enshina is a pointillism artist, musician, and architectural student based in London.  She uses hundreds of brightly colored dots in different shapes to create paintings of animals and human faces.

Pointillism method was developed in 1886 and popularized by Georges Seurat and Paul Signac.  It is a technique in painting in which a picture was created from small dots of colors.

When did you discover your talent?

Ana Enshina:  And when I was 9 years old I realised that I want to work with art for the rest of my life, after there was an art school and a lot of work preparing for university.  One day I decided go back to paintings, I used to paint from time to time but not that much, and I started making some stuff every day.  I'm a little bit crazy about it, I can spend long 10-hours day working on some paintings, forgetting even about food.

Tell us about your art?

Ana Enshina:  All this story with dotted paintings started as a mixture of boredom and thirst for experimentation, I was wondering if I can create picture using limited medium, so now I have a lot of them.

How would you describe your art?

Ana Enshina:  For me my painting represent emotions, mostly I being inspired by people around me.  I'm not a big fan of fantasy books, but I really like the idea of having a kind of matching animals, like a spirit or something.

What inspires you?

Ana Enshina:  I wouldn't match each of my paintings with exact person, however each of them always inspired by someone, sometimes by a few different people. And i think people like it, except for the colorblind, I know many of them don't like my art, because it make them feel happy, of course, all paintings show different emotions, but all of them based on happiness, I just tried to kind of keep, preserve it.
