Stunning Sculptural Portraits And Installations Using Fabric

Tulle fabric is widely used to make gowns, veils, tutus, and is sometimes used for decorations. But for Benjamin Shines, tulle fabric is a way of expressing his mind. By layering and pressing the flowing fabric, Benjamin creates sculptural portraits, recognizable figures, and large installations with it.

His fabric works have included ballet dancers suspended in motion, elderly hands, animals, and human faces.

In his wedding last year, he created a sculpture of a bride and groom gazing at each other. The exquisite fabric sculpture has spiraled ribbons that lead their guests to the wedding location.
