Swedish couple Charles Sacilotto and Marie Granmar discovered the perfect and brilliant solution to enjoy summer during the winter season. They built a greenhouse around their house.
The heat from the sun becomes a natural heater, keeping the place warm and liveable all year long. The greenhouse is made of steel and 4-millimeter panes of glass with sliding doors and windows.
Just like the regular greenhouses, the couple planted some trees and growing crops inside.
This concept was inspired by the nature house of architect Bengt Warne, which was built in Saltsjobaden, Stockholm during 1970’s. Bengt is known for his eco houses that allow people to appreciate the beauty and abundance of nature.
