Marcello Barenghi is an Italian illustrator, graphic designer, and licensed architect. When he was 18 months old, he was doodling on his chair when he unintentionally drew an airplane. His passion in art began to emerge in grade school.
At 11, he won a TV contest with his caricature version of Gaetano Scirea, a prominent Italian football player. The TV Announcer could not believe that the winning drawing was made by an 11-year old. These days, he has been dubbed, “The hyper-realist artist of the common things in the era of YouTube” because of his three-dimensional drawings that look like a photograph.
With his incredibly realistic drawings, he gives significance to the beauty of lights, shadows, colors, and shape.
Below is a time-lapse video on how he drew the hyper-realistic bottle of Oddka Vodka.
